ABOUT ATTORNEY LEWIS

Lynette Lewis has been providing legal counsel regarding debt matters, estate planning and real estate transactions for over twenty years in Cook County. She has also served as Cook County Arbitrator for Cook County for 20 years and a mobile election attorney for the Office of Daivd Orr for ten years. Ms. Lewis was admitted to practice law in Illinois in 1994. She established the Law Office of Lynette Lewis in 1997 and was recently admitted to practice in the U.S. Supreme Court. Ms. Lewis is a sole practitioner. Her practice draws generations as she represents her clients, their children, parents and grandparents. Ms. Lewis volunteers her legal expertise in churches and her community by providing pro bono legal services and presenting seminars and workshops. She has a passion for voter education, protecting voter rights and promoting civic participation. Ms. Lewis is a member of the Cook County Bar Association, Dearborn Realist Board, 95 th Street Business Association, Rainbow PUSH and the DuSable Museum. In 2002, Ms. Lewis received a certificate from Harvard School of Divinity Summer Leadership Institute in Community Development. She earned her J.D in 1993 from Chicago Kent College of Law and her B.A. in liberal arts from DePaul University in 1989.
